What do all these words have in common? Well, we are here in Yuma Arizona for the Blues Festival today. The road runner is one of 400 birds that either live here or migrate through each year. And, we are the glass and minerals that will be sold at the Blues. The pic is one of the pewter miniatures that we sell. Hope your day is blessed
Fiber Optic Glass Pendant & Earrings
“I haven’t seen those in a long time,” one dealer told us of the pink fiber optic glass bead in this pendant. Add a pair of earrings and it takes over two dozen pieces of glass, crystal, pewter and silver to create a pendant and earring set. We discovered these very old beads in new condition, in shades of pink and purple. The bead is square and changes color as the wearer captures different angles of light.
We enjoy finding and creating unusual pieces in our jewelry and glass art.
Bubblegum Opal
We collected this “bubblegum” opal in Utah a few years back. I shaped the stone and Sherry completed the metal work around it. Then added it to a necklace of colorful glass beads. Depending on your screen, double clicking the image will enlarge it to show the crystal pockets within the stone within the swirls of color. The material was formed eons ago from outflow of a mineral hot springs.
While most people are planning for their Super Bowl Sunday, we will be in Yuma for a Blues music festival. Hope your week is blessed.
