We wrap up here in Quartzsite at the Gold show.  It has been a fun event meeting new people and learning so much about gold prospecting.

It is fun to see them detonate explosives and blow up those boulders.  Okay, it was very safe, not that big of an explosion, but still cool.  I guess our post title is a bit of an exaggeration.  But, Sherry has some cool new mining and western themed pieces.  We are having fun, again, here in Quartzsite.  Hope your weekend is fun, too.

Over the years I have met many a person that holds firm to their good luck charms and other superstitious beliefs.  Gold prospecting involves a great deal of work and skill.  As a rockhounds, we know that it is not easy to find the good stuff.  Most successful people will tell you that they worked hard to get what they have and did not trust in luck.  Luck is like a gamble – not a sure thing.

Today begins the Gold Show here in Quartzsite.  Setting it all up was hard work for all.  There is still time to make a day of weekend of it.  Hope to see you here.
