Yes, I married Sherry Bustin. Sherry was Bustin Glass and Gifts when I met her and we changed the “Gifts” to “Minerals” and it better reflects what we sell. In Bishop a man came by our booth and said he saw our banner as he was driving by and stopped only because his name is Bustin. Others ask if we made up the name because we “bust” the glass We don’t intentionally “bust” glass, but sometimes it does happen. Oops.
Now one more name fact about Sherry. Sherry’s maiden name was Smith and she is related to the Captain of the ill-fated Titanic, Captain Edward Smith.

Stay out, stay alive is posted on many mine entrances throughout the west. Thousands of tunnels were dug over the past centuries in search of treasure. Adits are horizontal tunnels and shafts are dug vertically. The adit pictured here is part of an old silver mine. We like to explore around, but not in old mines. We had a great three days in the Owens Valley area of US 395 exploring such places, taking pictures and having fun.
We are equally excited about our upcoming shows. You can see our updated show schedule at on our website by clicking here. From rock shows to a bluegrass festival and a town called Logandale. Where is Logandale? In Nevada, about an hour from Las Vegas.
Look into this pendant of obsidian. See the night sky and get lost in the vastness of its space. We collected this obsidian not far from where we are now, on a previous trip.
Today we finish the show in Bishop, then a few days of R&R before heading home. Bishop is a special place, here in the Eastern Sierra Nevada’s. The people are special and we have had a nice time.
