They called 911

Sunrise in Pahrump

“Al was taken to the hospital,” was the call from a friend, early Friday morning.  One of our fellow vendor and friend is now critical, but stable, after being airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas. Violet was calling to request prayers.

This weekend we are in Pahrump, Nevada for their premiere gold, gem and mineral show.  More friends took over their booth at the show, others took his partner, Emma to the hospital, an hour away to spend the day with him.

We are like family and depend on and help each other. While we do this for fun, it is work. We are almost always far from home and lean on each other in times of need.

Next time you go to an event and see the vendor in his or her booth, smile and say hello.  That means as much to us as a sale.

The show runs through Sunday, here in Pahrump. We look forward to a busy weekend.  Please keep Al in your prayers.

The roar of the bikers’ engines continued into the night and we did not close until nine.  Hundreds of bikers, all terrain vehicles, cars and trucks brought people visiting from all parts of America and the world to visit the ghost town of Good springs and the Pioneer Saloon.

The owners son got married here this weekend, along with birthday and anniversary parties. The Pioneer even hosts star-gazing and ghost hunts.

As I write this, it is quiet and the sun is peaking over the hill.  We look forward to our last day here.  Tomorrow, off to Pahrump, Nevada for the gold, gem and mineral show next week.

Goodsprings and the Pioneer Saloon

Pendant and earrings we made from fossil shell. New item for this show.

We’re almost set up and have met some neat people.  Locals, lots of locals and they are wonderful, a biker from Henderson and a couple from Hawaii.  After a fine dinner in the Pioneer Saloon, we’re ready for bed.  The Friday night crowd will have to party without us!

We are looking forward to a good show.  The Pioneer Saloon is a family business, here in the not so ghost town of Goodsprings, here in Nevada. They truly have a passion for what the do and have made us feel welcome.
