Plan a Labor Day Roadtrip Into the Eastern Sierras to Bishop, California

Years ago, we stopped in Bishop, California, along the US 395 to take a break on a car trip home from visiting family in Nevada. In the city park was an arts and crafts show. Booths were spread out on the grass, under the trees making a delightful diversion for us. Little did we know that just a few later that we would retire and become one of the artisans in Bishop City Park.

The show is hosted by the Inyo Council for the Arts serving the Eastern Sierra area of Inyo County. We pride ourselves, as we have said in the past, that most of our shows benefit non-profit groups such as the art council.

Held in the Bishop City Park, this show features high quality photography, jewelry, woodworking, watercolors, sculpture, clothing, and much more! Food vendors keep the crowd satisfied with a variety of foods. The show runs in conjunction with the Tri-County Fair from Friday Sep 1st – Monday Sep 4th.

The magic of the Eastern Sierras along US 395 could be just the thing you need to complete your summer. Hope to see you there.

We Made the News: Joshua Tree Gem and Mineral Show Returns in September 2023

Joshua Tree Radio News Z107.7 article by their Jeff Harmatz, July 6. 2023:

“The Gem and Mineral Show is returning to Joshua Tree this fall. The beloved show’s fate in the hi desert was in question after its usual venue was sold to new owners and the 2023 Spring Show was canceled.

Set for September 28 through October 1, the Gem and Mineral Show will be held at Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground.

After the loss of the previous venue, vendors said they gathered together to ensure the show continued in Joshua Tree.

Now that the new location is secured, more than 30 vendors have signed on to exhibit their rocks, gems, minerals, crystals, fossils, jewelry and more.

Mark your calendars and stay tuned to Z107.7 for more info on the show as Fall approaches.”

The above article featured a picture of our booth from a previous Joshua Tee Show. We are happy to see the show return and continue after participating for so many years.
