I was told at a recent glass trade show that this dichroic crinkle cut glass is no longer being manufactured. Here is another set I finished. I have also fused some dichroic glass and hope to get some pics up before we leave.
It may not be late for you to plan a trip to see the great eclipse, August 21, 2017. We’ll be in Nebraska. Do they grow corn here? Hmm, huskers, you know.
Gold was discovered in 1859 and eventually several companies mined gold around what is now Body State Park. A ghost town that managed to stay alive into the early 1900’s. We visited earlier this year and were pleased with our visit. There is lots of information on the web about this jewel along the 395, near Bridgeport. The parks department maintains the area in what they call “arrested decay.” This means that they will not restore the buildings, but just keep them from falling down.
Soon, we begin our summer travels that we have named “Our Great Eclipse Journey of 2017.” We hope to blog along the way.
Recently finished some dichroic crinkle glass earring and pendants. Our recent time at home has been dominated by some overdue house projects. Now, some time to have fun and create. I like working with this glass as the colors change and sparkle as the wearer moves. Let us know what you think!
