In early America gunfire, cannon blasts and fireworks were common and started during the day and went long into the night along with many other festivities. Lets not loose sight of the things that are great about our country and make a lot of noise this 4th of July. How old is our country? We celebrate 245 years in 2021.
We are off to Bridgeport, California for their annual 4th of July celebration – a BIG EVENT for this little town. This is the beginning of a three week trip that includes a Renaissance Fair in Utah and family visits along the way.
A rock show with a rock band. Today begins a different kind of gem and mineral show here at The Market at Towne’s End, Apple Valley, CA. The show is Friday and Saturday. Each day ends with a concert: dueling pianos Friday evening and a traditional rock band Saturday evening. We will continue to show at the Farmers Market on Sunday, here at the same venue. Activities for children are planned and we will be cutting geodes.
The show is FREE and you can stay or come back for the music (for a fee) in the evening. There will be a food truck and a beverage bar and more.
The Eastern Sierras host some of the most spectacular scenery and outdoor activities in all of the United States. A familiar road trip up US 395 will bring us to Bishop, California for one of the largest mule events in all the world. We settle in for the Inyo Council for the Arts show held in Bishop city park. Most of the shows that we do are hosted by non-profit groups that raise money for local needs. The Inyo Council for the Arts supports arts in the Eastern Sierra area. Hope to see you there.
