Throughout the United Sates railroads have come and gone. It was not unusual for railroads to burn their trash in pits near their tracks. These old dumps have been extensively searched for bottle and other treasures. Often all that is left behind is rusted cans, and broken glass. We retrieve shards of china and repurpose them into pendants.
Recently completed some “Railroad China” pieces. Some are as whimsical, as they are beautiful. They have been a popular new item that we make. What do you think?
Those pieces are beautiful. I know an extremely steep slope near Colfax, CA which seemed to have quite a few plates thrown from the railroad. Blue designs on white. But hiking that slope is treacherous.
Thank you. Tim has goat ankles, not me. Perhaps he can do it. Sherry
