Bustin Glass and Minerals at Rennaissance Las Vegas

The parade of people that come into our booth at the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Faire, here in Las Vegas is very entertaining. The show is busy, and we see little else in the three days that includes entertainment, food and sellers of all things renaissance-like. This weekend for three days Friday-Sunday, Sunset Park goes back in time to the “Age of Chivalry.”

Sherry has many new glass are pieces, Tim has new jewelry designs, and we have a great selection of minerals, crystals and more – always at our great low prices. Come and join us to for medieval fun, safe, outdoors and for all ages.

Joshua Tree Rocks in So Many Ways

For centuries the Joshua Tree and its terrain have been home to early Americans and more recently home to a national park that bears the name of those iconic trees. For decades Johua Tree has been home to a fabulous Gem and Mineral Show held two times a year. Recently the show relocated to the Joshua Tree Lake RV Park and features about 40 vendors offering every kind of mineral, crystal, fossil, jewelry, rough and finished rock and more. October 2-6, Wednesday through Sunday, this five-day show will not disappoint.

Sherry and Tim will be there as Bustin Glass and Minerals. Sherry has some new glass art and fun renaissance items. Tim has been working on some new jewelry and mineral items. He has expanded his collection of genuine southwestern turquoise jewelry, as well.

Free, fun, safe, outdoors for all ages. Hope to see you there.

Road Trip on Historic US395 Through the Eastern Sierras

Years ago, while working full-time as a nurse manager, I just needed a mental health break from work, a long weekend, a ROAD TRIP! Yes, a road trip up US 395 along the Eastern Sierra Mountains! Getting another manager to cover my department was like pulling teeth – but I did and off I went in my van motorhome. It was a blast!

Fast forward some more years and my wife, Sherry and I took a road trip up that same US 395 and stopped in the great town of Bishop. Schat’s Bakery was the reason, and our now bigger motorhome needed to be parked in the city park lot and walk across the highway to the bakery.

The park was the site of Inyo Art council’s Art in the Park event. What a delightful art and craft show. We meandered among the booths after we completed our bakery experience. Never did we imagine that we would retire from our full-time nursing positions and take our hobby on the road to sell at shows. Well now, present day and we are part of that very same show.

For the past 12+ years we have been selling and still look forward to our road trips up US 395, through the Eastern Sierra Mountains and our art show in Bishop. Take a mental health break and drive up for the show and/or the Tri-County Fair taking place this Labor Day weekend: Friday through Monday, August 30 – Sept 2. Hope to see you there!
